1 Project Coordinator Position Available
We are recruiting positions to support our study on Climate Change Adaptation for FEMA Region 8.
The purpose of this grant project is to identify climate change adaptation strategies, barriers, challenges, and recommendations to effectively communicate preparedness practices and programs to organizations and residents of Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming and the 29 federally recognized tribes within these states. This project further serves to identify climate adaptation community resources and develop communication, outreach and engagement strategies. Targeted populations of this study are state, local and tribal governments and private sector entities including individuals, faith-based organizations, for-profit enterprises, non-profit organizations, Volunteer Organizations Assisting in Disasters (VOADs), and special populations including refugees, immigrants/migrants including those with access and functional needs and disabilities. This project will engage multiple education institutions within FEMA Region 8 and include undergraduate and graduate student researchers from those institutions.
Position Type: Part-time, temporary – 160 hour Consultancy $2500 Stipend
We are actively recruiting university and college affiliated faculty members and researchers from across FEMA Region 8 for the following positions:
- 1 Project Coordinator
The Project Coordinator will receive a financial stipend for their work paid directly to them from Simental Industries Ltd. This is an independent academic study. All activities are conducted independent of affiliated academic institutions. No direct payments will be made to academic institutions/no indirect costs are authorized.
Project Position Description:
Collaborates and assists with the execution of project activities. Leads and supports team of Community Outreach Facilitators. Supports Principal PI/Co-PI in facilitating and supporting Tribal Focus Group Interviews. Supports data collection activities and supports data analysis, and publication development. Supports other project activities as needed.
